Bristol Vision and Values

Up Our Street is working with United Communities and City of Sanctuary on a two year project to bring new and established communities together. We will do this by:

Delivering an annual programme of Neighbourhood Conversations and events which bring together local residents, active citizens, and key representatives from public and private sector agencies to discuss issues affecting the community, civic life and responsibilities.

Small scale pop up activity in key locations across the neighbourhood working with other local groups to increase interaction and understanding between new and established communities.

Workshops to look at civic responsibilities and encourage active citizenship to develop and increase understanding of civic norms and becoming an active citizen.

Community Engagement Worker time to focus on engagement work with established communities and migrant communities to understand the issues and build links and develop community mentors.
