Calling BAME tech entrepreneurs

Post date 19 March 2018

The SETsquared funded research project with Ashley Community Housing and Up Our Street is now live! The aim of the research is to learn more about the experiences and views of entrepreneurs from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds who are already active in Bristol’s high tech sector or are interested in entering. As part of the research we are conducting focus groups and an online survey.

We would love to hear from you if you are from a BAME background and are either already working in Bristol’s growing tech industry or are interested in starting a tech business. Take part in our short survey you will be entered into a draw to win £50, if you leave contact details at the end. We are delighted to say that we have already had nearly 30 responses, but we are keen hear from as many entrepreurs as possible. Take part in the survey now.

We are also recruiting participants for focus groups on 20 March and 11 April, 6pm to 8pm. Participants will be awarded £75 for their time. Places are limited. To take part in the focus groups sign up on Eventbrite. Search for “setsquared focus group”.

We be presenting a report with full findings and recommendations for engaging with diverse entrepreneurs at the end of May.
